Why does it only support 2.4GHz WiFi and not 5GHz?
This is to provide you with a more stable, long-range connection. 2.4GHz signals are far superior to 5GHz for penetrating walls and covering longer outdoor distances (like to your backyard). This is the industry standard for all outdoor smart devices.
Will it work in bad weather (like rain and snow)?
Absolutely. The Avinory has an IP65 weatherproof rating and is made from all-metal, rust-proof materials. It's built to withstand the elements and operate all year round.
Can I share the device with my family?
Yes. The Avinory App supports device sharing with up to 5 family members. You can enjoy birdwatching with friends and family, no matter where they are.
How long does the battery last? Will I need to take it down to charge often?
You shouldn't have to. The Avinory has a built-in 5200mAh high-capacity battery paired with a 3W high-efficiency solar panel. In most locations with decent sunlight, the solar panel is sufficient to keep the device running continuously. It's truly a "set it and forget it" solution.
Where is the video stored?
You have two options:
1.Local Storage (Free): It supports a Micro SD card up to 128GB (sold separately). Video will loop-record onto the card, and you can play it back anytime via the app.
2.Cloud Storage (Free & Subscription): We provide all users with a free 3-day or 0.5GB event-based rolling cloud storage. You can subscribe for longer-duration and larger-capacity storage.

Does the solar fountain need batteries or an external power source?
No. It is 100% solar-powered. It features a high-efficiency 1W solar panel (130mm diameter). As long as it receives sufficient direct sunlight (>1000 Lux), it will automatically start working within 3 seconds. It's eco-friendly and maintenance-free.
Does this fountain come with different spray patterns?
Yes, it includes 6 different nozzle attachments. You can easily swap them to create various spray heights (up to 60cm / 24in) and patterns to fit your bird bath's size and your personal preference.
How do I install it? Will it drift to the edge and splash water out?
Installation is simple. Just place the fountain pump in the water, ensuring the solar panel is facing up and in direct sunlight. We also include stabilizer arms (fixation rods) that you can attach to the base. This keeps the fountain centered in your bird bath and prevents it from drifting to the edge and splashing water out.
Will the fountain work on cloudy days or at night?
This solar fountain does not have a built-in battery; it operates in real-time based on sunlight. It starts instantly in direct sunlight. If the sun is blocked by clouds or at night, it will stop working.
What maintenance does it require? Is it durable?
Maintenance is simple. Please clean the pump's filter and nozzles regularly to prevent clogging from leaves, droppings, or mineral buildup. Ensure there is always enough water in the bird bath so the pump does not run dry. It is built with a high-quality brushless motor for a long lifespan, operates at an extremely low noise level (<42dB), and is IPX8 waterproof.
